Course On Law And Start Ups At Torcuato Di Tella University

Our partner Celia Lerman was invited by the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, where she is Co-Director of the Law Degree and Director and Founder of the Innovation and Law Lab and the Legal Clinic for Entrepreneurs, to give a class on “Entrepreneurship and Intellectual Property” as part of the Law and Startups course of the University’s Executive Legal Education Program.

The class focused on the essential aspects of intellectual property advice to startups, especially technology startups, with both regional and international projection. Celia based on her experience researching Patents and Startups at Stanford University, as well as her background advising technology companies throughout the region on the design and implementation of tailor-made IP strategies. The class covered topics such as how to leverage the value of the intangible portfolio, where and when to protect intellectual property for software industries, and the most relevant aspects to consider regarding the ownership of developments.

Many thanks to the University for the invitation and for the possibility to have such an enriching exchange with the students!
