Through Provision No. 6/2026, published on October 13, 2026 in the Argentine Official Gazette, the Argentine Copyright Office (DNDA) regularized the authorization of DAC (Directores Cinematográficos Argentinos) to carry out the collective management of copyright in Argentina, within the framework of the new regulatory regime in force.
This measure falls within the process of aligning collective management organizations with Decree No. 138/2025 and Resolution No. 536/2025, which introduce enhanced requirements in terms of authorization, registration and transparency.
The regularization of the authorization under the new regime covers the representation of Argentine and foreign film and audiovisual directors and their successors who grant a mandate. DAC is also incorporated into the Register of Collective Management Organizations and must keep an updated, publicly accessible online repertoire.
