Entrepreneurs Club at AMIA: Our Associate Luciano Gutman Provided Legal Advice and Guidance To Entrepreneurs On Labor Law, Contracts And Intellectual Property

For the second year in a row, Luciano Gutman led the “Tudu Legal” Workshop organized by the Entrepreneurs Club of the Israelite Mutual Association of Argentina (AMIA), aimed at entrepreneurs with businesses started at least two years ago.

During the first part of the presentation, our associate advised on how to reduce labor costs in the present, but trying not to increase lawsuit-related risks in the future. This part also included an analysis of the Remote Work Law that came into effect last year in Argentina, and the rights it confers to workers, such as compensation for internet fees, reversibility and digital disconnection.

Afterwards, the Workshop addressed the main issues to be taken into account when registering trademarks or other intellectual property rights. Special emphasis was placed on which registrations to prioritize at different stages of the business, especially in its early years.

Finally, Luciano gave the entrepreneurs some tips to have in mind when hiring employees or suppliers, in order to protect their clientele, intellectual property, confidential information, talents and other assets of special importance for projects in early development stage.

At Lerman & Szlak we are committed to these forums of exchange with civil society and support to the entrepreneurial ecosystem. This allows us to share our knowledge and keep updated on the issues that most concern companies of different industries and sizes.
