Entrepreneurs Club at AMIA: our associate Luciano Gutman provided tips and legal guidance on labor law, contracts and IP for entrepreneurs.

On September 23rd Luciano Gutman participated in the Workshop “Tudu Legal” organized by the Entrepreneurs Club of the Israelite Mutual Association of Argentina (AMIA), oriented to young people with startups of at least 2 years old.

The first part of the presentation consisted in advice on how to reduce labor cost in the present without increasing lawsuit-related risks in the future. Also, the impact of the ban on dismissals and double termination pay policies were also addressed.

Afterwards, Luciano pointed out the main issues to be considered when filing for trademarks. Special emphasis was placed on the importance of searching for similar trademarks before the initiating the application process, and on how to orient the enterprises names to avoid oppositions.

Finally, our associate gave the entrepreneurs some tips to consider when hiring employees or suppliers, in order to protect their clientele, intellectual property, confidential information, human resources and other commercial assets of special importance for projects in their early stages of development.
