Resolution P-583/25, published on December 11th  in the Official Bulletin, introduce substantial updates to the trademark registration process in Argentina. Particularly, the new framework adjusts the scope of the ex officio examination and reorganizes the stages  of the trademark registration proceding. 
Gabriela Szlak and Luciano Gutman, members of Lerman & Szlak’s Digital Business, Privacy & AI Department, delivered a successful in-person training workshop to the MEL Inmobiliario team on their internal policies related to integrity and compliance, as well as the protection of the company’s intangible assets.
We were proud to join ASIPI 2025, held from November 30 to December 3 in our home  city, Buenos Aires—one of the region’s most important events for the intellectual property community.
In September 2025, the Province of Santa Fe, which gathers almost 10% of Argentina’s population, expressly introduced digital rights into its Constitution. This progress made the Province a pioneer, being the first jurisdiction in the country to carry out a recognition of this nature in its provincial Constitution.
Our IT, Data Privacy & AI team participated in the warm and successful annual closing event of the IAPP KnowledgeNet (KN) Buenos Aires Chapter, organized by the KN Chapter and held at Mercado Libre’s offices.
Our associate, Luciano Gutman, participated in the “Black Friday” event organized by icomm, an initiative for debating how generative artificial intelligence is reshaping marketing campaigns across the region.
Gabriela Szlak, partner at Lerman & Szlak, took part in the launch event of the DMA’s Artificial Intelligence Commission held in August of this year, where industry leaders gathered to explore how Artificial Intelligence is transforming the way companies operate, innovate, and connect with their customers.
Artificial Intelligence is transforming industries, redefining business models, and demanding new forms of governance. Gabriela Szlak, partner at Lerman & Szlak, participated as a keynote speaker at AI in Finance, while our associates Agustina Hagelstrom and Delfina Bianchi joined AI in LATAM 2025—two leading events where the present and future of AI in the business world were discussed.
On October 16, a new edition of the DMA Summit was held at the University Torcuato Di Tella to reflect on the challenges posed by Artificial Intelligence and privacy in the digital ecosystem, from a marketing perspective.
Our partner Gabriela Szlak participated as moderator at the first Latam Data Summit, an event organized by Women in Data (LATAM) in San Rafael (Mendoza). The summit brought together women leaders in data and technology to reflect on how to govern data and Artificial Intelligence in our region.
