Celia Lerman, our partner and expert in Intellectual Property Law at Lerman & Szlak, will be part of the experts’ panel in the Open Innovation Online Course offered by the Ministry of Productive Development of Argentina and the Office of Industry, Knowledge Economy, & External Commercial Management.
This time, the Undersecretary for Access to Justice -that depends of the aforementioned Ministry- issued Order Nº 7/2020, that includes a brief Guide for these Virtual Mediations during the social isolation period decreed by the Government, which applies only to mediations carried out in Buenos Aires City.
During the last couple of weeks the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Labor have set up the general framework to start or continue mediations –in civil or commercial issues- and conciliations –in complaints related to labor law. 
On this occasion, Lerman & Szlak team invites its clients, colleagues and the public sector to get involved in the conversation on Intellectual Property Rights and Climate Change, and how the former is meant to help the latter by protecting the developments and creations aimed to provide sustainable solutions to this problem.
During the last couple of days, both mass media and public officials anticipated that the Government would update the list of vital services in the context of the mandatory quarantine established last month.

Lerman & Szlak team advised INVENTU, an entrepreneurship started by a group of young Argentine innovators who, with the support of the National University of Rosario, designed “Un Respiro”.
On April 6th, 2020 the Decree N° 347/2020 was published on the Official Gazette, creating the Committee of Evaluation and Supervision of the Emergency Assistance Program for Jobs and Industry established by the Decree N° 332/2020.
On April 4th a new publication in the Official Gazette includes an update on new services considered vital by the Government.
